Stockholm: Le Jazz Hot

For those looking for a chic and understated European getaway, look no further than Stockholm, Sweden. The Nordic capital offers a unique blend of Scandinavian architecture, culture, and history. From the cobblestone streets of the Old Town to the modern design of its museums and galleries, Stockholm is a destination that offers something for everyone.

Gamla Stan (Old Town) is the oldest part of Stockholm (13th century!) and a must-visit for anyone travelling to the city. This charming neighbourhood is full of narrow, winding streets, colourful buildings, and historic landmarks like the Royal Palace and Stockholm Cathedral. Our first stop in Old Town has to be the Temple Bar. As we well know, Swedish music is always a hit, and there is no better place to experience a taste of the local scene than Temple Bar. Artists from Sweden and abroad come together every Thursday night and perform everything from funk to rock and roll. The atmosphere is warm and inviting as bands and groupies alike share their favourite music in this charming little bar.

Around 32% of Sweden’s population is of immigrant background, and the energy can be felt as you walk through the streets of its capital city. Stockholm is a city that truly has something for everyone, from historic landmarks and world-class museums to trendy neighbourhoods and a vibrant nightlife scene. The city is clean, accessible, green, inviting, and all around just easy. Whether you’re interested in art, history, or just exploring a new city, Stockholm is a destination that should be on your travel list.
