Ernest takes to the rickshaws through the streets of Mumbai during the monsoon-soaked Ganesh Festival with his local friends, journalist Adele de Penha and choreographer Hrishikesh Pawar. Ernest starts his day taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling city before meeting with Adele for a walking tour of her rapidly changing neighborhood.

Unfortunately the rain forces them to switch plans, and instead, they head to Kulture Shop, one of Adele’s favorite stores in the area. Kulture Shop offers products that feature the art of Indian graphic designers on everyday lifestyle items like phone covers, notebooks, tote bags and small wall art. The duo speak with the store’s curator Kunal Anand who explains how the shop aims to introduce people to the world of art in a more approachable way. After this pit stop, Ernest and Adele stop at her home to dry off from the rain and discuss how Mumbai is a unique microcosm of all of India.

Ernest then heads to a temple with Hrishikesh and reluctantly takes off his shoes before entering to say a prayer and give an offering to the Hindu god Ganesha. With his friend still by his side, Ernest explores Marine Drive, the waterfront area of Mumbai, and grows to appreciate the symphony of car horns…maybe.
