Earlier this month, Ernest took the time to sit down with his longtime friend Shebs, known on the internet as Shebs the Wanderer, for a chat about all things travel.
If you’re new around here you may not know this, but before there was FLY BROTHER with Ernest White II, an award-winning TV docu-series, there was FLY BROTHER the blog. Ernest started his online storytelling initially as a way to keep his friends and family updated on his adventures of teaching and traveling around South America. Soon, that grew into a blog documenting his travels all around the world and Ernest’s career took off from there.
It’s been a long and interesting journey transitioning from blogging to hosting and producing his own travel docuseries. If you’re curious to hear all the details about how Ernest got to where he is today, you’ll definitely want to check out this conversation with Shebs.
From there, the pair spoke about filming and locations for seasons one and two of FLY BROTHER with Ernest White II, as well as how Ernest’s frequent travels impacted his home life. Like travelers often do, Shebs and Ernest also discussed their favorite destinations around the globe.
Noting the unique times we’re living in, Ernest also touched upon diversity in the travel world, how far the industry has come, and also what can be done to continue improving.
This is one of the most in depth interviews Ernest has done in a while (he’s been busy filming!), so be sure to check it out and leave a comment!
While you’re on YouTube, head over the FLY BROTHER YouTube channel, where you’ll find FULL episodes from Season One and plenty of bonus content. Like and subscribe to make sure you stay up to date on all the latest!
Hey Ernest,
I just watched your show about Sao Paulo and loved the people, the art scene, the music scene and especially the restaurant Laundry Deluxe. It closed! Do you know what happened? How cool was that place? I want a place like that in Dover NH! Or Portsmouth…Guess I’ll have to start one. Not a new idea exactly but I love it. If I have to go to the laundramat, which I hate, why not a cafe or coffee and art. Where are you Banksi when we need you?
Keep travel’n brother…and thank you for such cool shows f ull of diversity.
